The Glee Petindex Trade Show was held between September 19-21 at the NEC in Birmingham. This event, which brings together the "who’s who" of the pet world, was attended by the Xtra Dog team. We also invited along our friends from the Siberian Husky Club (GB) Welfare who wanted to get the message out to pet shop owners about the difficulties of owning huskies as pets so that they can encourage the right people and discourage the wrong people from owning these amazing dogs.Tessa and Ian Wakeling and two rescue dogs were on the stand chatting to visitors and we are sure that many visitors to Petindex will remember “hug a husky” on the Xtra Dog stand.

On Tuesday, we had a special guest -TV’s Sarah Fisher - who joined us for the day. As well as her TV work, Sarah is the UK’s first Tellington TTouch instructor and has been around the country this year with fellow TTouch practitioner Marie Miller performing TTouch demonstrations at numerous dog

events.Their last two dates in 2010 were the Robin Hood Game and Country shows in Ipswich and Newark in October. Sarah talked to retailers about TTouch and showed her new TTouch harness to visitors to the show.

We were also very excited to have been nominated for the Glee Petindex best product award with our new water repelling walking harness. This harness, made of closed cell foam, has all the benefits of our fleece walking harnesses but being made of foam it does not absorb water. It is offered in 7 sizes and has a front ring so it can be used to stop dogs pulling using TTouch ground work techniques.
