At the recent Bakewell Show Xtra Dog were delighted  to form a new friendship with the Derby and District Branch of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. They had a stand at the Bakewell Show and chose a couple of Xtra Dog products to sell to help raise money for the charity. The Spiffy Dog treat bag and Dickie (poo) bags were very popular with visitors to their stand at the show.

Debs Rolley-Parnell from Hearing Dogs explains:

"Hearing Dogs are rewarded with treats for all the soundworks to which  they alert their deaf owners; the owners must carry treats with them all the time. We like the treat bags because they have a zip.The zip stops my dog Rosie stealing treats when she does not work for one as she cannot put her nose inside the hole! I keep my treat bag attached to my handbag and, ever since I bought it, I have never had a messy handbag as I did before with a normal treat bag. With the old one, I got fed up finding odd bits of chocolate or mouldy cheese in my handbag because they kept falling out through a tiny hole in the treat bag.”

Alex Wilson and Matt Wildman, the owners of Xtra Dog, are very happy to be able to help raise money for Hearing Dogs and it is all part of their plan to try and help as many dog charities and not for profit organisations as possible by giving them the chance to sell Xtra Dog products directly to their members or through their respective websites. Currently Xtra Dog works with Siberian Husky Club (GB), The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Derby and District Branch of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, SADA Meridian Search and Rescue Dogs and Wimbledon Greyhound Trust.
